Unfortunately, we are seeing an increase in criminal activity in the Dundrum area and as a result everyone is encouraged to stay alert in safeguarding your personal and property safety.
Community awareness is critical and early alerts on suspicious activity help to keep all of us safer. If you see any suspicious activity or any behaviours that just don’t feel right, please contact Dundrum Gardaí on 01-6665600. The Community Garda in Dundrum is Linda Byrne. We are part of the Garda text alert system, which is an early warning notification of suspicious activity in the area to be aware of. If you wish to join the text alert group please register your WhatsApp or mobile number at https://balally.com/alert and you will be included in future alert notifications. Remember:
- When driving, keep your car doors locked
- When you are out of the house, remember to leave a light on
- At night, remember to lock all your windows and doors
- Set your house alarm whenever you leave the house
- When you are away, let a neighbour know to keep an extra eye on your house
- If you see anything unusual, don’t hesitate to contact Gardai
These are a few simple measures you can take to improve your safety and we encourage you all to practice them and to remind older family, friends and neighbours to do so too. Please help to keep our neighbourhood safe.
