Please be a responsible dog owner – pick up after your pet.
We get regular reports of dog fouling around the estate and in the school grounds, which gets carried in on kids shoes onto floors and throughout the school. If you use the school while walking your dog, we remind you to please keep them on a lead and clean up after them to avoid health issues or disruption for pupils. If you see others using the grounds for this purpose, please remind them about the need to clean up too, and offer them a bag if they may not have one.
If you sign up to the Green Dog Walker program with Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, they will send you a complimentary green dog walker “doggie bone” poop bag dispenser with a roll of bags. By signing up you have “Taken the Pledge” to always clean up after your dog, to carry extra doggie bags and to gladly give others a bag for their dog if they ask for one. By using the green doggie bone you are signalling that you are a responsible dog owner participating in and supporting the scheme.
